Welcome my world! I am Mwalimu Andrew, Esquire, GHC, CRE, Kiswa – the only dear husband of Fiolina, a captivating storyteller and the esteemed Senior Head of Institution at Mwisho wa Lami Comprehensive School, the greatest school this side of the Sahara.

Every Sunday, in The Sunday Nation, I share with you riveting stories about my life. It’s never all smooth.  There are controversies and intrigues in my personal life, there are conflicts and fights at work; but whatever the situation, I try to make light of it, in order to put a smile on your face. Life is already too hard and tough out there – anything that can put a smile on our faces is welcome.

That is why I created this website, www.mwalimuandrew.com – a gateway to a treasure trove of witty, humorous, and insightful narratives that shine a light on everyday experiences of teachers, students, families, the education sector and the community at large. What can you expect to find here?

In Down Memory Lane, revisit cherished stories from Staffroom Diary and discover some unpublished gems that offer a unique glimpse into my interesting and fast-paced world.

For book lovers, dive into thoughtful reviews of African fiction, biographies, business books, and more and know where you can buy them. Explore recommendations and find your next great read. This will all be under Books and Bookmen. The only books I will not touch? You guessed it right. Anything with Statistics, Math and Accounting. We have never been friends!

In Where Are They Now?, this site will Reconnect you with influential teachers from the past and rediscover writers who shaped our literary landscape. If you have any teacher or writer you would like featured, please drop me an email on mwalimuandrew@gmail.com, and I will track them down.

Are you a budding or aspiring writer who has no space to publish your work? Creative Corner is your space. Share your stories and poems, and I could publish them here so that you can receive valuable feedback, and take steps towards becoming a published author.

Because of the many people I reach every day; on Facebook, X, Instagram, Whatsapp and on this site,  I am the perfect person to help you spread your message.
